Privacy Policy

Last updated 17 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Housing by Platform.SG (housing.platform.sg) collects, why, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet our obligations under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

1. Who we are

Housing is operated by Platform.SG, based in Singapore. For any question about this policy or about your personal data, including a request to access or correct it, contact our Data Protection Officer at support@platform.sg.

The PDPA requires us to designate a Data Protection Officer and publish their business contact details. A monitored email address satisfies this; a personal postal address is not required.

2. What we collect

Account data

When you sign in, we receive your email address and name from your chosen sign-in provider. We store an account record, a role, and session identifiers so you stay signed in.

Usage data

We record which metered actions you perform — searching, filtering and comparing — so we can set fair usage limits and understand how the service is used. These records are keyed on an opaque internal account identifier only. They do not contain your email address, and they do not contain the content of your searches or filters.

Technical data

Our infrastructure providers process standard request information such as IP address and browser user agent, for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.

3. Why we use it

PurposeData used
Providing the service and keeping you signed inAccount data, technical data
Applying tier limits and preventing abuseUsage data, technical data
Setting fair usage limits from real demandUsage data (aggregated)
Responding to your enquiriesAccount data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

4. Who we share it with

We use the following service providers, each of which processes data on our behalf:

ProviderPurpose
CloudflareHosting, database, security and usage analytics
RenderHosting for the property data service, which receives your account email address with requests made from your account
Google, and our authentication providerSign-in

The map's default background layer is OneMap, served through us. If you choose OpenStreetMap from the map controls, or still have it from an earlier visit, your browser requests those map tiles from the OpenStreetMap Foundation directly. They then receive your IP address and the area of the map you are viewing. The map also switches to OpenStreetMap by itself if OneMap's tiles fail to load.

We may also disclose personal data where required by law or to enforce our Terms of Service.

5. Transfers outside Singapore

The providers above operate globally, so your personal data may be processed outside Singapore. Where that happens, we rely on those providers' contractual data protection commitments to provide a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, as section 26 of the Act requires.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We set a session cookie so you remain signed in. It is strictly necessary for the service to work and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Blocking it will prevent you from signing in.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and does not follow you to other sites; it records the page you open, the site that sent you, your browser and device type, and your country.

We also count how often each home and project is opened on the map, to show which are viewed most. That count holds the home, the time, and whether a browser or a robot asked for it, and nothing that identifies you.

We also count which map views are shown (Sales, Rentals, Yield, Return, Activity), which filters are on when the map loads (by name, never what you chose in them), which HDB town's panel is opened, whether a home opened is HDB or private, and how often the Share button and its Copy buttons are pressed, to see which parts of the map people use. That count holds which of these it was, the time, and whether a browser or a robot asked for it, and nothing that identifies you.

7. How long we keep it

8. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may:

Send any of these requests to support@platform.sg. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission.

9. Children

The service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified through the service.
